Job Description
- The XR Experiences team is part of the Design and Customer Experience team in the organization and is responsible for building delightful, consistent, intuitive, and engaging immersive experiences on JioGlass for our B2C customers across Media & Entertainment, Learning, Shopping, Gaming and Productivity; and our B2B enterprise customers across Remote Assistance, Communication & Collaboration and Enterprise learning use-cases
- The Lead Architect Unity3D position is an individual contributor role
- You will be responsible for architecting, planning, designing, developing and testing new and unique applications for Mixed Reality shaping user experience and overall product development
- You will be working with an interdisciplinary team of Unity3D Developers, UI Designers, UX Designers, Unity3D Technical Artists, 3D content creators, sound production and PR involved, and fully immersed in creating initial concepts, prototyping, and development in Unity3D, launch and post-launch relationships with distributors and partners
- Your work at Tesseract will be key in shaping the user journey of millions of Mixed Reality users globally in the coming years
- A portfolio of professional projects including work with web/mobile/AR/VR applications in a must have requirement while applying for this job. A strong candidate will have:

Designed and developed consumer grade applications/games in Unity3D
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional/Business Requirements, High-Level Architecture, Low-Level Architecture, System Requirements, Design Documents, Wireframe, etc
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Drive and challenge product units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans Serves as the conduit between the product/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates Be the liaison between the product units, technology, support and IT development teams
- Agile software delivery process using JIRA (including breaking down work into modular tasks, updating/tracking task status/work log entries for sprint management), Gerrit/Git (source code management including branching strategy, code review) and Automation Tools
- QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Game Development or relevant field
- 15+ Years of Experience in Unity3D based game/application development for mobile platform
- 5+ Years of Experience in delivering high-quality consumer applications/games built using Unity3D, preferably over mobile platforms
- Proven experience of managing and mentoring a team of 10+ Unity3D developers as senior or lead role
- Advanced C#/C++ knowledge with architecture and design patterns
- Solid OOPs programming skills and design patterns
- Strong mathematical skills, knowledge of vectors, matrices, and linear algebra
- Strong knowledge of Unity3D application life cycles, Editor Tools, Events, Actions, Input System, Rendering Pipeline
- Strong knowledge of designing state machines and multi-level games/applications in Unity3D
- Experience in maintaining Performance & Optimisation in Unity3D Applications
- Strong knowledge of Networking APIs in Unity3D
- Desired Skills Experience architecting and developing editor tools for Unity3D
- Experience in architecting and developing high-peformant shaders and graphics libraries for Unity3D
- Experience in building XR applications/SDKs for Hololens, Magic Leap, Oculus, HTC Vive, etc
- Experience in building consumer applications for mixed reality is a huge plus
