Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer Intern to support our development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about WordPress, who wants to work on real projects, and gain hands-on experience in customizing and optimizing WordPress themes and plugins. You ll play a vital role in helping us deliver responsive and high-performance websites
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and customizing WordPress themes to meet project requirements.
- Optimize WordPress installation for performance, security, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot WordPress-specific issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure compatibility across WordPress updates and plugins.
- Support the development team in maintaining a responsive and user-friendly interface
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of server-side programming languages such as PHP or Python.
- Familiarity with databases like MySQL.
- Understanding of RESTful API integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with WordPress theme development or plugin customization.
- Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and performance optimization is a plus
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in WordPress development
