Senior Manager Medical coding

Role & responsibilities

1. Verify and update precise CPT, HCPCS, modifiers and ICD-10-CM codes for a range of coding specialties not limited to E&M, Surgery, Infusion/high-cost drugs, Radiology, Pathology.

2. Should be expert in RCM reimbursement, able to resolve coding denials and get reimbursement ASAP, ability to explore EOB and reason codes to figure out the right issue, should have knowledge of LCDs, Modifier requirements, NCCI edits, medical necessity, knowledge on payor specific guidelines.

3. Examine and analyze medical records to obtain pertinent data for coding assignment, making sure all documentation is accurate and comprehensive.

4. Ascertain that coding operations adhere to all relevant coding standards, laws, and recommendations, such as those issued by the AMA, CMS, and other regulatory organizations.

5. By precisely abstracting and inputting coded data into the electronic health record (EHR) or coding software, you may preserve data integrity. Prior work experience in a provider office with EPIC software are preferred.

6. Assign precise CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes as a Surgery coder in medical disciplines such as Ortho/Spine/MSK, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology.

7.Should have knowledge of LCDs, Modifier requirements, NCCI edits, medical necessity, knowledge on payor specific guidelines.
