Position : Hardware Engineer
Experience : 3 to 6 years
Location : Bengaluru
Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Engineer with a strong background in hardware design and physical design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced hardware design tools and a deep understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor systems. This role requires expertise in signal integrity, propagation, and delay analysis, along with the ability to work on schematic-level designs and integration of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Hardware Design : Responsible for designing and developing robust hardware solutions with a focus on physical design aspects, including signal integrity and propagation delays.
- Tool Proficiency : Use of industry-standard tools such as Xpedition and Hyperlynx to design, simulate, and analyze hardware systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Schematic Design : Work extensively on schematic-level designs for embedded systems, specifically with microcontrollers and microprocessors. The role demands in-depth knowledge of schematic creation and the integration of these components into broader system designs.
- Signal Integrity and Propagation : Conduct analysis to ensure proper signal propagation and minimize delays in high-speed circuits, optimizing the physical layout for performance and efficiency.
- CAN Protocols : Apply a thorough understanding of CAN (Controller Area Network) and CAN FD (Flexible Data-rate) protocols for automotive and industrial communication systems, ensuring effective integration and implementation.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) and Documentation : Prepare and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for hardware designs. Document designs thoroughly, ensuring clear communication with cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth product development.
- Programming Languages : While the role primarily focuses on hardware, familiarity with CAPL and C programming languages is beneficial to ensure seamless communication between hardware and software teams.
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in hardware engineering, with a strong emphasis on physical design and hardware simulation.
- Proficiency in tools like Xpedition, Hyperlynx, or similar platforms for layout design, signal analysis, and delay modeling.
- Deep knowledge of schematic-level design and a strong understanding of microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Experience with integration and troubleshooting of embedded systems is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CAN and CAN FD protocols and their application in embedded systems.
- Experience with creating and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) and related documentation.
- Familiarity with CAPL and C programming for embedded systems would be an added advantage.
