Network Engineer/Architect - Routing & Switching (5-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer/Network Architect to join our team in Pune. This is a critical onsite role requiring deep hands-on expertise in switching, routing, firewalls, and other network technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network architecture, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience managing network infrastructure in a production environment. This position requires a willingness to provide support during emergencies.

Responsibilities :

- Network Management : Design, implement, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, and Wi-Fi systems.

- Multi-Platform Expertise : Manage and troubleshoot network devices from multiple vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HP, and Extreme Networks.

- Routing and Switching : Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols and switching technologies.

- Firewall Management : Hands-on experience configuring and managing firewalls from vendors like Palo Alto Networks and FortiGate.

- Security Products : Familiarity with security products like Zscaler.

- Network Architecture : Design and deliver small-scale network solutions.

- Expertise in configuring and managing proxy servers and Wi-Fi technologies (Aruba, Cisco).

- Implement and maintain high availability solutions for firewalls and other critical network devices.

- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for network issues.

- Good knowledge of ITIL concepts and experience with ITSM tools.

- Excellent P1 incident management skills.

- Work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation.

Required Skills :

- Extensive hands-on experience with multiple switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HP, Extreme Networks).

- Extensive hands-on experience with routers (Cisco, Meraki).

- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks and FortiGate firewalls.

- Good knowledge of proxy technologies.

- Understanding of ITIL concepts.

- Familiarity with Zscaler and other security products.

- Ability to design and implement network solutions.

- Expertise with Aruba and Cisco Wi-Fi technologies.

- Experience implementing high availability solutions.

- Knowledge of any ITSM tool.

- Excellent P1 Incident Management skills.
