Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Boomi Integration Developer Lead to manage and execute integration projects involving file handling, database interactions, API management, and data transformations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Dell Boomi platform and its connectors, with experience in leading integration projects end to end. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem solving skills, and leadership to guide team members and ensure seamless data integrations. Key Responsibilities: Integration Development and Management: Lead integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring high quality, efficient, and scalable solutions are delivered on time. Develop and implement integration workflows using Dell Boomi Atomsphere, specifically focusing on file based, database, API, and stored procedure based integrations. File Handling with Disk Connector: Configure and use the Disk Shape Connector to retrieve files from designated locations. Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient file access from on premises or cloud storage as per business requirements. Manage file transfer scheduling and ensure consistency of file formats to maintain integration integrity. Database Integration and Stored Procedure Management: Use the Database Connector (v1) to interact with relational databases for reading, writing, and updating data. Design and execute stored procedures to retrieve, update, or manipulate data as needed by business processes. Collaborate with database administrators and stakeholders to align data flows and optimize stored procedures for performance. API Management and Integration: Design, develop, and manage APIs within Boomi for seamless interaction between systems, ensuring secure, optimized, and scalable API integrations. Implement API authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring to manage access and performance effectively. Collaborate with external teams to support API based integrations, leveraging Boomi s API Management capabilities to enable smooth data exchanges and integrations. Data Transformation and Script Utilization: Utilize Boomis scripting capabilities (Groovy or JavaScript) to perform data transformations, especially for converting flat file formats to Excel and vice versa. Develop reusable scripts to handle complex data mappings and conversions, ensuring that files conform to client or system specifications. Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of integrations to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Diagnose and resolve issues within integration workflows, ensuring minimal impact on business processes. Implement monitoring and alert mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve potential integration failures. Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integration processes, configurations, and scripts. Promote and implement best practices in Boomi development, API management, version control, and deployment. Train and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices and guidance on complex integration scenarios. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, database administrators, and end users, to gather requirements and validate solutions. Provide updates on project statuses, timelines, and any potential risks to relevant stakeholders. Key Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Dell Boomi Atomsphere, with expertise in integrations involving file handling, database interactions, and API management. Proficient with Boomi Disk Shape Connector and Database Connector (v1). Strong understanding of API management principles, including security, versioning, and performance monitoring. Strong SQL knowledge and experience in working with stored procedures. Hands on experience in scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy) for data transformations.
