Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Control and Instrument Engineer to join our team in the power plant sector. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 12 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining control and instrumentation systems for power plants. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design and Development: Develop and review detailed designs for control and instrumentation systems, including Logic diagrams, P&ID, Hookup Diagrams, Requisition Engineering, Schedules, Layout Engineering, DCS, PLC, SCADA, and field instruments.
• Project Management: Lead and manage control and instrumentation projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and specifications related to control and instrumentation systems.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control and instrumentation systems, addressing any issues that arise during construction and operation.
• System Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of control and instrumentation systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of control and instrumentation systems within the overall project.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in control and instrumentation technologies and practices to continuously improve project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 10 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, with significant expertise in the power plant sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in control system design software (e.g., DCS, PLC, SCADA), strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, and experience with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and IEEE.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
