Position Summary:
The Director of Pre-Sales will lead the pre-sales function, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to provide strategic insights, drive customer engagement, and lead solution-based sales initiatives. This individual will build and manage a high-performing pre-sales team, ensure seamless delivery of technical and product expertise, and optimize the pre-sales process for maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive pre-sales strategy aligned with the company's revenue goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to ensure alignment on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Identify new markets and customer segments for potential business opportunities.
Customer Engagement and Solution Development:
- Lead pre-sales team in understanding client requirements, creating customized solutions, and delivering compelling presentations and demos.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor on TechClinic's offerings.
- Support the Sales team in positioning TechClinic's solutions, demonstrating technical viability, and addressing customer concerns.
Team Management and Development:
- Hire, train, and mentor a skilled pre-sales team capable of meeting the technical, consultative, and strategic demands of the role.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and improvement, promoting professional growth within the team.
- Set performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to track the team's effectiveness and achievements.
Process Optimization and Reporting:
- Standardize pre-sales processes and implement tools to streamline activities, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Regularly analyze and report pre-sales performance metrics, providing insights for sales forecasts and pipeline development.
- Gather competitive intelligence and product feedback to influence future product roadmap decisions.
Product and Industry Expertise:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to effectively position TechClinic's solutions.
- Conduct in-depth training sessions on TechClinic's offerings to ensure that the pre-sales team is well-prepared for client interactions.
- Provide insights and strategic recommendations based on customer feedback, helping shape product development.
