Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in software testing using Python/Advanced Python.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in web application and REST API testing, leveraging Selenium/Playwright. This role requires working within an Agile and DevOps environment to ensure high-quality deliverables with a "First Time Right" approach.

Job Description :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs using Python Selenium/Playwright.

- Translate Gherkin/Cucumber feature files into executable automated tests.

- Leverage the Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) approach for software development and testing.

- Apply strong knowledge of software testing principles, practices, and tools.

- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation as part of the delivery process.

- Ensure the code follows PEP8 standards and is fully optimized.

- Adhere to solid design principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

- Work with tools like Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket, Docker, JIRA, and Confluence for CI/CD, version control, and project tracking.

- Utilize Linux, KVM, and open-source systems in testing workflows.

- Actively interact and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including developers, product owners, and business analysts.

- Take complete ownership of deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.

- Operate effectively within Agile and DevOps frameworks, contributing to continuous improvement and delivery cycles.

Required Skills Set :

- 5-8 years of experience in automation testing with Python/Advanced Python.

- Proficiency in web application and REST API testing.

- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket, Docker, JIRA, Confluence, Linux, and KVM.

- Strong understanding of the Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) approach.

- Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.

- Familiarity with PEP8 coding standards and solid design principles of OOP.

- ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong interest in Software Quality Assurance.
