Job Title: Housekeeping Manager
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: [Hotel Manager/General Manager]
Location: North Goa


Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of the hotel. This includes overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations:
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of all housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry staff, public area cleaners, and inspectors.
    • Ensure rooms are cleaned and prepared according to hotel standards and guest expectations.
    • Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and identify any maintenance issues.
    • Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services.
    • Maintain inventory of all housekeeping supplies and equipment.
    • Schedule staff appropriately to meet business demands.
  • Guest Satisfaction:
    • Ensure guest satisfaction by providing high-quality housekeeping services.
    • Train staff on proper cleaning techniques and guest service standards.
    • Handle guest complaints professionally and effectively.
    • Implement guest feedback to improve housekeeping services.
  • Safety and Security:
    • Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all staff.
    • Ensure that all safety and security procedures are followed.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
    • Implement and enforce safety and security policies.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
    • Implement and maintain quality control standards.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on housekeeping operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, payroll, and inventory.
    • Assist with the preparation of the housekeeping budget.
    • Order and receive housekeeping supplies.
  • Staff Management:
    • Train new housekeeping staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
    • Address disciplinary issues as needed.
    • Motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent service.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a hotel environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.


Experience:-

  • At least 3 years experience in the same role with an up-scale (4/5 Star) hospitality environment.
