Application Monitoring Engineer (DataDog)

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad

Preferred candidate profile

Responsible for ongoing administration and support of the Application Performance Management (APM) application DataDog in a complex production environment. Works closely with clients, support and implementation teams and peers to understand fairly complex business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

An ideal candidate will be required to troubleshoot and monitor issues that require adept knowledge of Data dog, development languages and frameworks, cloud infrastructure (Azure Preferred), and Kubernetes. They will also be able to take their expert technical skillset and mentor other team members through difficult technical situations.

• 2 years experience with an Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tool. DataDog is highly preferred as there will not be significant time to train on a new tool.
• 3 years experience as a subject matter expert in IT Infrastructure (administering or implementing Windows & Linux Servers, network infrastructure, and databases)
• 3 year experience as a subject matter expert in IT Systems (implementing or supporting applications / quality testing / development using any of the following technologies: .NET, Java, PHP, Python, Node.js.)
• Working experience with Kubernetes
• Working experience in a DevOps environment.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities.
• Genuine interest in improving application performance and developing new skills in this area.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.
