Relevant Experience - 3-7 Year

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for :

• Accountability of schematic & harness design delivery ensuring vehicle functionality & timelines.
• Design and Development of Automotive Wiring harness from concept to production.
• EDS Design calculations- Power distribution, Ground distribution, Resistance calculations.
• Running DRCs, Schematic simulation- Voltage drop and Short circuit fuse blow analysis.
• EDS Schematic Topology design for vehicle platforms, Vehicle electrical architecture & CAN backbone finalisation.
• 3D wiring harness layout creations, routing in UG NX electrical module.
• Clamping, brackets/panel design for the wiring and cables for packaging and routing.
• Benchmarking, Cost Reduction, DFMEA, DFA, DFS, DFM
• Support for making prototype vehicles, pre-production & serial production vehicles.
• Preparation of circuit schematics in Capital tool.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of automotive electrical system, Schematic and Wiring harness design.
• Knowledge of circuit analysis, wire and fuse selection for vehicle functional safety and protection.
• Knowledge and hands on experience of Wiring harness 2D drawing preparation in Capital tool.
• Knowledge of design aspects for automotive circuits, wiring harness, GD&T analysis and assembly.
• Knowledge of electrical aggregates used on automotive applications and their functions.
• Proficient in Computer aided analytical tools to assist in a faster, better and cost-effective design. Hands on experience is required on UG NX, Capital tool.
• Knowledge of interfacing components to ensure system level design compatibility, robustness.
• Should have knowledge and understanding of engineering BOM, Standards.
• Knowledge of verification, testing, regulatory and validation requirements.
• Should know the regulatory / certification requirements like CMVR, AIS, and ECE etc.
