Dy. General Manager - Pressed Parts & Fabricated Parts

Experience:

• B.E.(Mech) / B.E. (Auto) /BE (Production) and Post-Graduation Diploma or Degree in Materials Management
• Experience: 14 -18 years in the Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing
• Experience Minimum 8 years’ Experience in the Strategic Sourcing of Pressed Parts and Fabricated Parts
• Preference of person having experience in Auto Industry
• Required Competencies: Knowledge and Skills (Functional Only)
• Personality – Agile and Adaptive, Good interpersonal, analytical, Negotiation and Communication skills. Should be Innovative and Strategic in approach.
• Good Understanding of Automotive industry
• Experience in handling Strategic Sourcing of
• Pressed Parts - Aluminium, Stainless steel, Steel Pressed Parts
• Fabricated Parts - CNC turret Purch Parts, Laser Cut parts, welded assemblies.
• Experience of negotiating Pricing and Contracts with Suppliers
• Experience in applying VA / VE and other Cost reduction tools for optimization of Cost of Pressed and Fabricated parts.
• Good knowledge of
• Grades of steel and Sources for various Grades of Steel and Rolled Aluminium
• Manufacturing process of Pressed Parts & Fabricated Parts, various surface coatings for steel Parts and Aluminium Parts
• Part Should costing, Cost drivers, Commodity trends and Knowledge of Cost reduction Levers.
• Domestic and Global Supplier base specific to above commodities
• Supplier assessment and Supplier onboarding process
• Excel and other analytic tools and PowerPoint presentations
• Expertise in should costing of Pressed Parts and fabricated Parts.
• Techno commercial knowledge of Pressed Parts and Fabricated Parts Commodity
• Hands on experience of supply chain, capacity planning and in meeting volume ramp up.
• Analytical Skills

Position Description and Key Responsibilities:

Candidate will be:

• Handling approx. 1800 Cr of Annual spend.
• Have complete Ownership of Pressed Parts & fabricated parts like Cost reduction Targets, Supplier Strategy etc.
• Working Closely with the Business Unit CFTs (Purchase and relevant technical Teams) for various Purchasing initiatives: Cost Reduction, Supplier Negotiation, Consolidation etc
• Responsible for Cost Benchmarking for Pressed Parts and Fabricated Parts
• Driving Cost reduction initiatives across Tata Autocomp Group
• Preparing Sourcing strategy based on market research to have sustainable supplier base, keeping in mind present and future technologies.
• Decide and monitor the Share of Business among suppliers of Pressed parts and Fabricated Parts though CFT’ s
• Responsible for Long term contracts with Strategic suppliers
• Providing periodic updates to the Senior management about the progress on set targets, market and industry commodity trends etc
• Leading Supplier Optimization / Consolidation in terms of Grow Fix and Exit Strategy
• Responsible for Sourcing decision for Pressed Parts and Fabricated Parts
• Manage Supplier Relationships
• Travelling locally within Pune and across India for BU Plant Locations, Suppliers locations
