Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Work closely with Hospital Departments (e.g., Medical, Administrative, and Support Services) to identify procurement needs for both Medical and Non-Medical supplies.
• Identify reliable suppliers and vendors for Medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and Non-Medical items.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on Departmental requests and inventory needs.
• Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that the purchased goods are received, inspected, and stored properly in the Hospitals inventory.
• Verify that all purchased products meet the required quality standards and specifications, particularly Medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Monitor the procurement budget and make sure that expenses stay within the allocated limits.
• Keep detailed records of all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and contracts.
• Stay updated with market trends, new suppliers, and emerging products in the healthcare sector to ensure the Hospital has access to the best available options.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., supplier disruptions, price fluctuations) and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and Medical staff to understand their specific needs and procure specialized Medical supplies.
• Lead and supervise a team of procurement officers or assistants, ensuring smooth execution of procurement activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Location Preference: Candidates from Viluppuram, Chengalpattu, and Puducherry are preferred.
• Educational Qualifications: We welcome applications from candidates holding any UG or PG degree.
