Job Overview :


The Rodod, BSS Telecom, OBRM Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Telecom Billing and Revenue Management solutions using Oracle's RODOD and OBRM platforms. This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise and business acumen to lead the architecture and integration of telecom-specific BSS solutions that support billing, revenue, and order management processes.


Key Responsibilities :


Solution Design and Architecture :


- Lead the design and architecture of Oracle BRM (Billing and Revenue Management) and RODOD (Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery) systems for telecom clients.


- Define end-to-end BSS (Business Support Systems) architecture that aligns with the client's business goals and processes.


- Work on integration strategies between BSS, OSS (Operational Support Systems), and other components like CRM, ERP, and payment gateways.


Implementation and Deployment :


- Oversee the implementation of Oracle BRM and RODOD solutions for large telecom service providers.


- Provide guidance on configuring billing, rating, and invoicing functionalities in OBRM.


- Ensure efficient integration of RODOD with CRM systems for offer management and order delivery.


Business Process Optimization :


- Collaborate with business teams to analyze and understand billing, order management, and revenue management requirements.


- Propose optimized processes and ensure alignment with telecom best practices.


- Develop solutions that automate and streamline business operations in telecom billing and order management.


Technical Leadership :


- Lead the architecture team, providing technical guidance and support during project delivery.


- Assist in defining technical roadmaps for billing and revenue systems upgrades, including migrations from legacy systems to Oracle BRM and RODOD.


- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for telecom billing and revenue management.


Troubleshooting and Support :


- Resolve technical issues related to Oracle BRM and RODOD implementations.


- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, scalability, and security of the implemented solutions.


Stakeholder Management :


- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.


- Work closely with project managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.


Documentation and Training :


- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and configuration details.


- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients to ensure smooth system adoption.


Skills and Experience Required :


Technical Expertise :


- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle BRM (Billing and Revenue Management) and RODOD (Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery).


- Proficiency in telecom BSS (Business Support Systems) architecture, design, and integration.


- Experience with implementing and configuring billing systems, pricing models, invoicing, and payment processing in a telecom environment.


Industry Experience :


- Strong understanding of telecom industry processes and practices, especially in billing, revenue management, and order management.


- Familiarity with telecom-specific regulations, compliance, and best practices.


Integration and Development :


- Expertise in integrating BSS systems with OSS, CRM systems (such as Siebel), and other third-party applications.


- Experience in developing custom solutions using Java, PL/SQL, and XML to extend the functionality of Oracle BRM.


Project and Stakeholder Management :


- Proven experience leading architecture and solution design for large-scale telecom implementations.


- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.


Additional Tools/Technologies :


- Knowledge of cloud technologies and migration strategies (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure).


- Experience with middleware technologies such as Oracle Fusion Middleware for integration purposes.


Soft Skills :


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.


- Ability to lead teams and work effectively under pressure.


Qualifications :


- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.


- 7+ years of experience in telecom billing, revenue management, and BSS system design.


- Certification in Oracle BRM and/or related Oracle technologies is a plus.


Preferred Certifications :


- Oracle BRM Certified Implementation Specialist.


- ITIL or TOGAF certification for architecture frameworks.
