What will you be working on ?
- This role is all about writing Thought Leadership content
- You would write content about topics like : Developer Tools Go To Market - Best practices when selling a Developer Tool product. What works? What does not?
- Successful DevTool companies and their GTM journeys. This would require lot of research
- Research reports on latest industry trends. Eg: What impact would AI have on Sales and Marketing, again wrt DevTool companies
- As you can appreciate, this would require building a strong understanding of the space- "Developer Tools and their Go To Market strategies"
- This role is NOT about churning 20 look alike, keyword stuffed blogs a week
- Its all about Writing Good Quality, Highly Researched and Value Adding content
Here are few things you might be working on day to day :
1. Write Thought Leadership content :
1. What are the Best Practices when it comes to Developer Tool Sales and Marketing ?
2. How can we help DevTool companies grow user base and revenue?
3. Case Studies on our Customers - how they used it and how it helped them succeed
2. Write Case Studies :
1. Conduct research on successful Developer Tool companies. Eg: MongoDB, HevoData, Postman, Snyk, etc.
2. Analyze their marketing and sales strategies
3. Growth hacks employed by the company to grow
4. Prepare comprehensive case studies that outline what this company did right
5. What are the lessons for a DevTool Sales or Marketing leader from this company
3. Write compelling and insightful reports on the latest trends and how they may impact businesses
Skills that will help you excel at this job :
1. You enjoy reading and writing! If you find research boring, this is not the right role for you. If you don't love writing you will not enjoy this role
2. Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with research tools and databases is a plus
5. Attention to detail and ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
6. Interest in business strategy, market trends, and competitive analysis
