Job Summary :
We're looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Engineering to join our agile, customer-focused team . The ideal candidate will be instrumental in leading, mentoring, our engineering talent while delivering top-tier software solutions for customer experience.
You will be responsible for guiding and growing our engineering team, championing best practices, and partnering closely with other departments to align our technology vision with our business goals.
As VP of Engineering, you will set the technical direction in collaboration with Software Developers and lead Scrum teams to bring innovative ideas to life,
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing, passionate team of engineers, promoting a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Ensure alignment with product vision through excellent execution and technical leadership.
- Serve on senior leadership, collaborating across departments to drive interdisciplinary strategies.
- Create a culture of innovation, speed, and continuous improvement, raising the bar for our engineering standards.
- Participate in strategic planning with Product Management, and Design teams, translating company objectives into technical solutions.
- Oversee technical engineering designs, resource allocation, and Agile-driven implementation.
- Build and foster cross-departmental relationships that enhance alignment with company strategy.
- Model core values, promoting a culture of empathy, transparency, and accountability.
- Actively solve complex engineering problems while ensuring best coding practices are followed.
- Manage KPIs, including velocity, estimation accuracy, and defect rates, to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure successful project delivery within established budgets and timelines.
- Oversee onboarding and training programs for new engineering hires, guiding them through technical courses and workshops.
- Collaborate closely with CTO on department-wide initiatives, advancing mission.
Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering leadership, with a proven track record in high-growth SaaS companies.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, building enterprise SaaS solutions in the cloud.
- Strong background in technical guidance, and engineering strategy.
- Demonstrated success in leading Agile/Scrum engineering teams for scalable software solutions.
- Expertise in CICD workflows, release management, and production deployment processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Experience with JAVA, Kafka, Mysql, web services, and front-end web development.
- Proficient in leading and scaling engineering teams within a SaaS environment.
- Ability to effectively engage in discussions with product architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, driving meaningful technical decisions.
- Positive, collaborative approach and ability to champion change within the team and across the organization.
