Job Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee the organization's ongoing operations and procedures, ensuring the company's operational strategy aligns with its business objectives. As a key member of the management team, the Operations Manager will work to optimize operational performance, ensure compliance with industry standards, drive efficiency, and support the company's growth in the GCC and MENA regions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Operations Management:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to set and align operational priorities with the company's vision and long-term goals.
- Oversee operational budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation.
2. Supply Chain and Logistics:
- Manage and streamline the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships to maintain efficient operations.
- Lead efforts to optimize warehouse operations, logistics, and delivery systems.
3. Production Oversight:
- Oversee the production unit, ensuring the timely production of samples and adherence to quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and output.
4. Sales and Customer Support Alignment:
- Work closely with the sales and customer support teams to improve order execution and client satisfaction.
- Develop processes to ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration and timely delivery of client orders.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international regulations related to safety, operations, and logistics.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and monitoring.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
- Set clear goals for department managers, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence across all operational functions.
7. Reporting and Analytics:
- Provide regular operational reports to the General Manager, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights.
- Use data-driven analysis to drive operational improvements and support decision-making.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in wholesale, manufacturing,
or the PPE/workwear industry.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, and production oversight.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and improve profitability.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Knowledge of UAE and GCC regulatory requirements related to logistics, production, and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and operational analytics tools.
Performance Metrics:
- On-time delivery rate and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory turnover and cost optimization.
- Efficiency in production and logistics processes.
- Achievement of operational cost targets.
