Job Description

- Engineering Degree/Surface coatings or Paint technology and equivalent.

- Must have extensive experience in sales, business development of Raw Material (Resin)/Additives/Dyes to the paints and coatings industry.

- Thorough knowledge of Paint and coatings industry in his/her remit, grasp on sustainability trends in the paints coating segment. Should be able to learn product and process technology and provide technical support.

- Excellent Communication skills, Negotiation skills, and Presentation skills Ability to lead the team on their own without supervision, self-motivated, independent, & able to plan own and team workload

- Excellent interpersonal skills. B2B selling including discussion of technical concepts with customers.

- Proven experience in leading and managing a team Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.

- Manage and grow key accounts in the Decorative paints and surface coatings sub sector within Industrial specialties.

- Compiles annual sales plan & cost budgets and agrees with the leadership. Communicates the plan to relevant teams and ensures it is on target through regular reviews.

- To apply broad technical and commercial knowledge within the discipline to give direction to the sales team, to deliver the annual sales plan.

- Regular communication with and influencing of relevant sales network and external contacts within the geography, to manage the business in the assigned market area. Responsible for maximizing sales and gross margin of the business in line with objectives and strategic plan.

- Integral part of the process which determines the strategy for the market areas for the next 1-5 years.

- Manages the Sales team through carrying out appraisals and identifying training needs.

- Manages country priorities and makes decisions on the appropriate routes to the market. Supports identification of new trends and markets. Provides commercial guidance on product support and new product developments.

- Expected to improve the efficiency of sales systems and procedures within own discipline.

- Issues may relate to opportunities/problems related to the discipline of work and may have vague or limited information. This may involve internal and external commercial, customer, and production problems.

- Depending on the nature of the market, a higher level of scientific understanding in Raw materials-Resin & other non-ionic surfactants/Additives/Dyes and more specifically to formulation development of Paints and emulsions.

- Face to face customer visits are required.
