Position Summary:
The Vice President of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the organization's financial health, strategic planning, and compliance. This individual will oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management, and work closely with the executive team to drive business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Partner with the executive team to identify growth opportunities and manage risks.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders, including the board of directors.
Operational Financial Management:
- Oversee accounting, treasury, and tax functions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital resources effectively.
- Optimize cost structures while maintaining quality and service levels.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and implement effective internal controls.
- Mitigate financial risks through robust planning and contingency measures.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring career growth and succession planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA/CA preferred).
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of financial management, corporate finance, and GAAP/IFRS.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead financial transformation and drive efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Effectiveness of cost-saving initiatives.
