The Product Quality Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing both manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of our products. This role requires a strong understanding of software quality assurance practices, a passion for problem-solving, and experience in both manual testing and developing automated test scripts using various tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Perform manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements to ensure they meet functional requirements.
- Report defects in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot defects, collaborate with developers for root cause analysis, and verify fixes.
- Validate user stories and ensure that features meet acceptance criteria.
- Perform testing on different browsers, platforms, and devices as required.
Automation Testing :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Work with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Select and implement appropriate automation tools and frameworks (e. g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. ).
- Continuously improve and refactor automation scripts for efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
- Conduct performance testing using automation tools to measure scalability, load, and performance under stress.
- Analyze results from automated tests, provide detailed feedback, and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in at least one test automation framework (e. g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, etc. ).
- Experience with scripting languages (e. g., Python, JavaScript, Java) to develop automated tests.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e. g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) and version control systems (e. g., Git).
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e. g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
