Senior Tax Manager (6-11 yrs)

PKF Newcastle Senior Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Qualified CA/CPA/MBA or in the process of obtaining such Qualification

- At least 6 years of relevant experience in an Australian tax compliance and consulting (written advice) role, either at Assistant Manager or Senior level

- Should have a prior experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firms, or large corporate as an offshore resource

- Excellent up to date technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and best practices

- Consulting and Compliance processes and procedures

- Exposure to tax effect accounting

- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and support business objectives.

- Conduct tax planning and analysis for various business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructures.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.

- Oversee tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities.

- Identify and manage tax risks and opportunities.

- Implement internal controls and processes to mitigate tax risks and ensure on time and accurate preparation and submission of Tax returns.

- Advise on Transfer pricing strategies

- Curious about business, how businesses work and the structures they use
