Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's goals.
    • Lead long-term financial planning, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
    • Monitor financial performance by analyzing variances from the budget and providing explanations to senior management.
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
    • Budget Management:
    • Lead the annual budget preparation process, including coordination with various departments.
    • Monitor and manage department budgets, ensuring compliance with financial plans.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of the budget to ensure financial objectives are being met.
    • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
    • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring that the company meets all audit requirements.
    • Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard the organizations assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
    • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
    • Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee cash management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
    • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors to support funding needs.
    • Monitor and optimize the organizations working capital.
    • Cost Control and Profitability:
    • Develop cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
    • Ensure that financial resources are used effectively to support the company's profitability.
    • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate financial information to senior leadership, stakeholders, and investors.
    • Prepare financial presentations for board meetings and key decision-making forums.
    • Work closely with other department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
    • Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Oversee tax planning and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Strategic Financial Initiatives:
    • Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or new investment opportunities.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve the financial performance of the company.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a masters degree or MBA (Regular from a well reputed university) is preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 810 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
