Purchase Engineer

Qualification - Engineering Graduate, any discipline, Electrical / Instrumentation / Mechanical preferred.

Require exposure of industrial purchase / sourcing of materials in power, oil & gas sectors etc, while purchase exposure for data centres, infrastructural projects, automation solutions etc, if available, would be an added advantage.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, articulate in conveying / discussing various purchasing & sourcing possibilities with both internal teams and external vendors.

Minimum Industry Experience - 5 Years or more, hands-on.

Specific Work Skill needed, although not limited to,

1. Energetic, agile and ready to learn & grow.
2. Familiarity with general industrial items like piping, pumps, vessels, tanks, other mechanical & electrical equipment, motors, panels, cables, cable trays, instruments, control systems etc.
3. Familiarity with Indian / International material Standards.
4. Adept experience of negotiation strategies and securing favourable payment / delivery terms.
5. Knack of meticulous attention to all detailing.
6. Building and maintaining vendor relationships.
7. Proficient in analysing data and trends to take informed decisions.
8. Understanding material cost break-ups & cost optimizations.
9. Collection of Inspection & delivery documents.
10. Proactive approach in resolving timely purchase challenges.
11. Familiarity with software / tools for creating, managing, recording, tracking & retrieving purchase & delivery related data etc.
