Legal Intern

Position Summary:
The Legal Intern will assist the legal team in various aspects of corporate law, contract drafting, IP law, and data protection and privacy regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in the tech and cybersecurity industry. A strong understanding of Corporate Law, IP Law, and Data Protection & Privacy Laws is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Corporate Law Support: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing corporate agreements, contracts, and legal documents, including but not limited to NDAs, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements.
• Intellectual Property Law (IP): Assist with trademark, copyright, patent-related matters, and help the team ensure IP rights are protected within the companys operations.
• Data Protection & Privacy Laws: Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (such as GDPR and local privacy laws), including drafting privacy policies and reviewing data processing agreements.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research in areas related to Corporate Law, IP Law, and Data Privacy and assist in preparing legal reports, summaries, and memos.
• Contract Drafting and Review: Draft and review a variety of commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring they comply with current laws and regulations.
• Compliance and Governance: Assist in maintaining corporate governance and compliance standards in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Legal Documentation: Support the legal department in managing legal documentation, databases, and records.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed BA LLB (Hons.) degree from a recognized university.
• Strong academic foundation in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Data Protection & Privacy Laws.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Indian Corporate Law regulations, including company formation, mergers, acquisitions, and compliance.
• Knowledge of IP Law concerning patents, copyrights, trademarks, and digital content.
• Familiarity with Data Protection & Privacy Laws, including GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other data protection regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

Desirable Skills:

• Good Knowledge in Corporate Law, IP Law, and Data Protection Laws.
• An interest in cybersecurity and technology-related legal matters is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about legal issues in the tech and cybersecurity sectors.
