1. Job Description

We are seeking a senior-level Quality Automation Engineer to join Bright Horizon s Back-Up Care engineering team. In both web and native mobile app form, Back-Up Care is one of Bright Horizon s major applications that connect care givers to children or elders at times when their regular care arrangements fail. You will be responsible for the development of QE Automation for your team, setting strategies and approach. We require strong programming fundamentals and automation experience to help develop in all phases of the release cycle.

Help us automate and build up the BUC automation testing area for regression and new feature testing. As an integral part of an Agile development team, you will be responsible for using and contributing to establishing standards and best practices, writing new automation tests, execution of QE Automation from User Stories to End-to-End tests and establishing new areas of automation for the Back-Up Care product. Establish long term and sustainable QE Automation for the product line.

The Senior Software QA Automation Engineer is expected to possess the skills necessary for working closely with the engineering team during all aspects of the development process. This position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a team environment.

1. Education/Experience/Skills
2. Experience in one or more Scripting/Programming Languages including JavaScript, Python, or Swift
3. Automation experience with testing methodologies; UI, Continuous Integration, Functional, Performance, Regression, and Load
4. Automation development experience with tests and strategies for Web and Native Mobile products
5. API automation test development and strategies experience
6. Develop Automation test strategies; writing test plans, test cases, test tools, executing your plan, and reporting results
7. Ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
8. Maintain and scale automation suites
9. Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems in automation, and independently work towards results
10. Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
11. 6-8 years of software testing of web-based and/or mobile applications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1. TestComplete
2. Advanced JavaScript, SQL
3. BDD Processes, use of CucumberStudio (HipTest)
4. LoadRunner
5. Azure DevOps, (project tracking, CI/CD )
6. Experience with Continuous Integration systems and codebase management with Git
