Job Description :

A data architect designs and manages an organization's data infrastructure, including data lakes, databases, data warehouses, and other data systems.

They create a framework that defines how data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop a robust data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and other data systems.

- Define data models, schemas, and metadata standards.

- Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

- Design and implement data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

- Leverage Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing and data processing.

- Utilize other Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Log Analytics.

- Integrate various data sources and systems into the data lake.

- Expertise in Data Modeling on Medallion Architecture and Data Lake experience.

- Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

- Collaborate effectively with data scientists, data analysts, business users, and IT teams.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

- Expertise in Data Modelling on Medallion Architecture and Data Lake experience.

- Experience with implementing industry standard common data model.

- Strong Expertise with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory & Spark Notebook.

- Microsoft Purview or similar Data Catalog tool experience with Data Lake.

- Ability to understand the requirement and translate it to Data Model design.

- Knowledge on various Azure services eg: Azure Log Analytics, Key Vault etc and integration options between them.

- For example integration of ADF to Azure Key Vault support credential management centrally.

- Experience in enabling various consumers of Data Lake. Eg: Power BI, API Layer, SaaS application etc.
