ETL/Datawarehouse Test Engineer - Snowflake DB (2-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Snowflake data warehouse processes, including data loading, transformation, and querying.

- Develop and maintain test suites for various testing types, including unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and user acceptance tests.

- Execute test cases, analyze test results, and document defects in a detailed and organized manner.

- Conduct thorough data quality checks, including data validation, data cleansing, and data profiling.

- Identify and investigate data inconsistencies and anomalies, such as duplicates, missing values, and data type mismatches.

- Develop and implement data quality checks and validation rules within the Snowflake environment.

- Explore and implement test automation frameworks for Snowflake data warehouse testing using tools like Python, SQL, or dedicated testing frameworks.

- Automate repetitive test tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, data architects, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and testing needs.

- Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on the testability of data pipelines and ETL jobs.

- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.

Qualifications :

Experience : 2+ years of experience in data testing, with a strong focus on Snowflake data warehouses.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and SQL.

- Proven experience in various testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, regression testing).

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (SQL, Python, Excel).

- Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell Scripting).

- Healthcare domain experience.

- Prior experience as a developer (SQL, Python) is a significant plus.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Relevant certifications (SnowPro)
