Job Description
- As Pricipal Application Engineer (AE) , you will be.
- Working on latest Synopsys implementation technologies ( Machine Learning , Physical Synthesis , Multi Source CTS etc ) to solve complex PPA challenges faced by Synopsys customers..
- Working on benchmarks to displace competition implementation solutions.
- Working with customers to develop and debug RTL-GDS implementation methodologies and flows..
- Providing technical solutions by identifying the design and/or EDA tool issues and provide appropriate solution for customers.
- Effectively translate the findings into requirements for RD to improve both tool behaviour with enhancements as adaptive long-term solutions..
- Involved in deployment of new technologies on latest EDA versions and enable customers to migrate to newer versions achieving best PPA.
- Coming up with proactive understanding of customers pain point and come up with innovative solutions to address the same..
- Closely interacting with Synopsys RD team and product development team to develop future technologies.
- This role requires you to act as customers advocate while talking to inhouse RD, and be a product brand ambassador while engaging with customers..
- Key Qualifications:.
- Passion for innovative solutions , exposure to cutting edge technology and positive approach to customer challenges.
- Design experience should include ASIC design using industry-standard tools (Placement, Optimization, CTS, Routing).
- RTL to GDSII full flow experience or knowledge is preferable.
- Strong interest and understanding of Advanced Node Design methodologies are required..
- Deep Synopsys Back end tool (Logical and Physical Synthesis, Timing Closure techniques, Macro Placement, Routing at advanced Node , Static Timing Analysis, including noise analysis) experience and knowledge are required..
- Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills are mandatory..
- Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues set priorities, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position..
- Preferred Experience:.
- BE/B.Tech/BS/MS/M.Tech or equivalent, required with 15+ years of experience.
- Tool knowledge expected: Back end PR tools (Fusion Compiler, ICC2 OR Industry standard PR tools).
- Tool knowledge (preferred) : front end Synthesis tools (Fusion Compiler, Design Compiler OR Industry standard synthesis tools),.
- Tool knowledge (preferred): STA (Primetime).
