Job Description

We are hiring for our client company, USA based company in field of Insurance Fintech product & having their office at Bopal Area of Ahmedabad.

Position: Director of Operations Insurance Operations & Strategic Partnerships

Position Overview

A senior leadership role responsible for scaling operations in India, managing cross-functional teams, and developing strategic partnerships within the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will combine deep insurance industry expertise with operational excellence and a proven track record of building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Growth
  • Lead the development and execution of operational strategies to scale the companys presence in India.
  • Structure and negotiate strategic partnerships with insurance companies to drive business growth.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and standards across all departments.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple departments including customer service, tech support, sales, and finance.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment between departments

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Optimize operational processes to improve scalability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management across operations.

Partnership Development

  • Leverage existing relationships within the insurance industry to forge new partnerships.
  • Negotiate and structure strategic deals with insurance companies.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders in the insurance sector.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in insurance operations, with at least 8 years at senior management level.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations in India.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships with insurance companies.
  • Experience managing multiple departments including customer service, tech support, sales, and finance.

Skills & Expertise

  • Deep understanding of the Indian insurance market, regulations, and industry dynamics.
  • Strong network of relationships with decision-makers in the insurance sector.
  • Excellence in team leadership and organizational development.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-structuring abilities.
  • Financial management and budgeting expertise.

Education & Certifications

  • Master s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Insurance industry certifications preferred.
  • Professional qualifications in relevant areas.

Personal Qualities

  • Visionary leader with strong execution capabilities.
  • Excellence in relationship building and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments.

Location

  • Ahmedabad, India with willingness to travel as required.

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports directly to the CEO.
