Organizational Overview :

This role will be part of the Physical Security team which is part of Security Crisis Management organization.

• The Physical Security Team is a critical support function in ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets at all Synchrony hubs.

• Our goal of deterrence, prevention, detection, and response are achieved via a blend of physical access control system, cameras/video systems, incident management processes, audits, assessments, guard operations, and JSOC analysts all executing against a defined set of policies, procedures, job aides, and post orders.

• The Joint Security Operations Center (JSOC) is the hub of all Security Crisis Management cooperation and integration, providing people, processes, and technology essential to securing Synchrony.

• The JSOC analyst serves as the main point of contact for the intake and escalation of all physical security and crisis management issues as reported by Synchrony personnel.

• The JSOC analyst will work closely with members of the Information Security and Fraud Teams in an integrated approach to security incidents.

Role Summary/Purpose:

Physical Security Operations Analyst

The Physical Security Operations Analyst(s) provide a critical support function as a member of the Joint Security Operations Center (JSOC), Hyderabad team in ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets at all Synchrony locations. The analyst serves as the main point of contact for the intake and escalation of all physical security and crisis management issues as reported by Synchrony personnel. This position monitors real time data from a diverse array of sources (including: access control, alarm, CCTV systems, travel safety and security, physical security operations and worldwide news). The analyst will provide enhanced security monitoring, analyze collected data, audit findings and security procedures, and provide briefings to Synchrony s security management team for appropriate response. Analysts will work closely with members of the information security and fraud teams in an integrated approach to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage all physical security controls to include cameras, guards and access controls.

• Provide effective and efficient processing of all information relevant to the security operations business.

• Responsible for tracking and logging all security events in our security incident management system.

• Generate and provide access control reports to different departments throughout Synchrony for auditing and investigations.

• Monitor and manage the physical security request management system.

• Responsible for monitoring all Synchrony Financial Data Center physical security operations.

• Responsible for alert monitoring Synchrony sites without a security guard.

• Provide physical security support for Investigative teams, Crisis Management events and Information Security incidents.

• Provide leverage to Information Security in regards to data loss prevention and cyber security incidents.

• Provide leverage to Human Resource in regards to investigations.

• Coordinate guard response to events as necessary through the contract guard Supervisor/ Security Officer.

• Coordinate maintenance repair requests on security technology.

• Prepare and disseminate metric reports on physical security and crisis management data.

• Conduct quality assurance and review of security technology and procedures.

• Conduct audits on access control operator actions that consists of cardholder access, technology controls, alarm activity and acknowledgements

• Monitor media and weather-related events for incidents potentially impacting Synchrony Financial & proactively inform the concerned stakeholders.

• Point of contact for Crisis Management and Security related incidents and activate teams as appropriate.

• Documentation and Maintenance of JSOC & Guard Procedures.

• Provide remote oversight of the employees travel to ensure the safety and protection of Synchrony Financial personnel.

• Obtain weekly travel information for Synchrony Leadership personnel to help support Security Crisis Management on executive protection.

• Maintain and publish Security Crisis Management related content on an internal companywide webpage to educate and provide Synchrony employees with helpful tips, security awareness, and travel security .

• Contribute ideas toward improving day-to-day business practices related to the Joint Security Operations Center.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Bachelor s Degree and 3+ years of work experience in security experience or in lieu of a degree 5+years of work experience in security experience.

• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications (e. g. , Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc. )

Desired Characteristics:

• Security experience in government, law enforcement agency, corporate security organization.

• Excellent verbal communication, presentation and report writing skills

• Strong Customer Service and incident management skills

• Comfortable with high-tech work environment, and constant learning of new tools and innovations

• Experience working in a cross-functional team

• Ability to research, investigate, compile information and assess and evaluate situations effectively

• Ability to be flexible and work different shifts when called upon.

Eligibility Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree and 3+ years of work experience in security experience or in lieu of a degree 5+years of work experience in security experience.

Work Timings: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM EST.
