Deputy Vice President - Front Office Treasury - NBFC (5-10 yrs)

Job Description:

Borrowing

- Handling borrowing from banks / FIs / International Agencies using various products - viz term loans and working capital finance, PSL On-lending

- Explore new and innovative structures like ECBs

- Handling securitisation (PTC) for PSL / Non - PSL assets with banks / non-bank counterparties

- Handling DA to optimise utilisation of capital / as a capital accretive tool.

- Explore Swaps and Derivatives, depending on opportunity for managing interest rate risk

- Be able to handle credit calls with credit teams of banks and rating agencies

- Understanding ALM and adhere to prudential limits

Relationship

- Be the face of the organisation for the banks / Fis / International Agencies

- Should be able to handle communication beyond product / instruments

- Actively manage relationships by continuous interaction with assigned lenders

- Arrange leadership team meetings, with top management - atleast 4 meetings at MD level and 8 meetings at CFO level. Mandatory to cover all major banks and desirable to cover Fis / International Agencies, where possible

- Maintain relationship with rating agencies for ensuring smooth information flow

Tracking Market pulse / regulatory changes

- Actively keep a tab on all macro events. Should be able to understand and present to the management on impacts of various macro events

- Keep the management abreast of all relevant regulatory changes and do impact analysis on the borrowing costs

Strategic Role

- Should have thorough knowledge on PSL guidelines so as to use PSL assets for on-lending/pool sale to banks/Fis and reduce COF

- Should be able to contribute to financial strategy of the company by linking the cost of products handled, to the overall cost of funds of the company.

- Any other duties assigned as may be required

Role Interactions:

Being a senior role in fundraising, the incumbent is expected to demonstrate reasonable level of communication skill, while communicating with various stake holders, including but not limited to ones given below:

External

- All market participants including banks, mutual funds, arrangers etc.

- Rating Agencies, Trustees etc.

- Regulatory organisations like SEBI, RBI etc. only in case of need

Internal

- MD, CFO, Head - Treasury, Head - Treasury Front Office, CRO and CCO

- Lead Treasury Mid Office and Treasury Back Office and their staff

- Other senior management/leadership teams

Qualifications and experience:

- CA / CMA / MBA with minimum 5-10 years' experience, of which at least last 2-3 years should be in banking space with any NBFC of similar size and repute

- In-depth knowledge of financial markets and market conditions, financial products and relevant regulation, especially PSL related guidelines

- Basic knowledge of financial accounting practices and Ind - AS

- Should be able to mobilise very high volumes at very competitive cost from the markets

- Should be able to adapt to uncertainty and be able to handle pressure

- Should be very high on ethics and adhere to highest standards of corporate governance
