Head Product Development (R&D) - OEM - Pune

Design and Development:

- Understand customer requirement and translate them to product, concepts and specifications

- Taking a lead role in enriching technical aspects of design and development throughout the product development lifecycle to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives of the program

- Ensuring timely permanent solutions for design deficiencies that get surfaced during the product verification phase, by deploying scientific methodologies to analyse failures and fixing it

- Proactive role in optimizing performance, reliability and cost targets at system and vehicle level through systematic reviews

- Ensuring 100% compliance to standards while releasing drawings and SOR

- Ensure right competency to a task by optimal utilization of internal and external resource

- Continuously drive innovation both at product level and within the product development process.

Interface with Other Functions:

- Collaboratively work with product planning, materials management, manufacturing engineering, functions simultaneously at every stage of the product development process to enable timely execution of project by sharing of technical knowledge on own or with the help of experts in meeting cost and quality objectives.

- Timely release of engineering documents like drawing, RFQ, and identifying critical areas in manufacture and assembly

- Timely resolution of technical issues faced during development such as source development, manufacturing and assembly without diluting technical requirements of product and quality

Process Adherence:

- Install and deploy MPDS and MQS all through the product development lifecycle

- Tracking product and program health through PLM and ensure technical and program risks are anticipated in advance and averted by taking proactive actions in meeting PDB and PAL targets

- Champion technical reviews to ensure that all aspects of design and development are fully met by resolving technical and project concerns on a regular basis

- Documentation of learning, technical reports, and failure analysis

- Formulate and implement the practice of innovation at all stages of a product development program.
