Design Manager (Mechanical Engineering)

HLE Glascoat is currently hiring Design Manager for its Design Department.

Role Context: HLE Glascoat Limited is a leading manufacturer of process equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. We are market leaders in Filtration and Drying Equipment and are a leading manufacturer of Glass Lined Equipment globally. We manufacture a wide range of chemical processing equipment in an equally wide range of materials for some of the most demanding applications. We are introducing new products in the market to cater same set of customers. Over the last 40 years, our consistently high quality, and our commitment to solving our customers unique process requirements has helped us build a solid reputation as a preferred supplier of process equipment.

Role Location: Maroli, Gujarat

Team Size: 12 to 20

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspiring creativity throughout all design work.
• Ensuring that all Design work is completed to the highest standard.
• Overseeing the personal Design of all team members including performance appraisals (including code reviews), and monitoring succession planning.
• Ensuring that working processes (planning, testing, & documentation etc.) are efficient & adhered to by the Design team.
• Making recommendations for process improvements demonstrating regular audits and necessary amendments.
• Ensuring that the Design Department is aware of trends & improvements in both techniques & technology that are relevant to the business & assessing which will contribute to the business & its clients
• Line management of the Design team.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of executing job as per international codes like ASME SEC VIII DIV 1, PED 2014_68 etc.
• Ensure up-to-date industry knowledge through reading publications/journals and undertake appropriate training and Design.
• Communicate proactively and professionally with clients and your colleagues.
• Prioritize daily workload - organize, monitor and control resources to meet plan.
• Identify and react appropriately to events threatening the plan.
• Continually work to improve client satisfaction.
• Identify where you add value to the business and its products.
• Understand your role, obligations and responsibilities.
• Talk to your line managers about any issues to prevent problems escalating.
• Use your working time both efficiently and effectively to the benefit of the company.
• Understand and comply with The Company's HR and Company policies as defined by the company

Non-negotiables

• 7 to 12 years of hard core designing experience
• Bachelor / Masters in Mechanical Engineering
• Designing software knowledge such as AutoCAD, Solid Work/Solid Edge, PV Elite
