Internal Designation: Welding & NDE Manager

Role Location: Anand, Gujarat

Education : 

Diploma Mechanical / Metallurgy Engg

Degree Mechanical Production / Metallurgy Engg.

Or Masters in Welding Technology from reputed institute with Good Academic Record.

Experience Years:

Experience required in Welding & NDE Dept. of an ASME U Stamp organization (medium/heavy fabrication).

• 15-20 years for Diploma
• 10-15 years for Degree
• 8-10 years for Masters

At least 3 years in a managerial role. Must have a strong track record and expertise in fabrication, heat treatment, manufacturing, and welding.

Duties/Responsibility:

• Understand customer specifications, needs, and expectations, and resolve their queries
• Implement lessons learned from previous projects
• Knowledge of ASME Sec IIA, IIB, IIC, Sec V, Sec VIII Div. 1, Sec IX, PED, DIN, and other national and international codes & standards; interpretation and periodic review
• Conduct drawing study, assess NDE requirements, select welding processes, and establish welding procedures
• Review NDE procedures, demonstrate to authorized inspectors, and implement
• Approve NDE technique sheets
• Train and qualify welders, NDE Level II personnel, and maintain records
• Analyze and monitor welding/NDE defects, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) & corrective actions (CA), and communicate with team and management
• Review calibration of welding machines and NDE instruments
• Ensure safe keeping of welding/NDE records
• Coordinate with shop and NDE agencies
• Control RT enclosure and pit room, coordinate with AERB, and ensure compliance with safety requirements
