Job Summary :

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Testing/Data Verification Engineer to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of our data and systems.

The ideal candidate will design and execute testing plans for data pipelines, verify data integrity, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.

This role is critical in ensuring data reliability for our products and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for data validation, ETL pipelines, and software systems.

- Design and execute test cases to validate data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across various systems and environments.

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to identify and resolve data-related issues.

- Automate repetitive data verification processes using scripting and testing frameworks.

- Perform root cause analysis and work with teams to fix data quality issues.

- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data discrepancies in real-time.

- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.

- Prepare detailed documentation, including test cases, results, and defect reports.

- Conduct performance and scalability testing for data systems.

- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and best practices in data verification.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 2-5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or data engineering.

- Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying for validation and verification purposes.

- Experience with data validation and testing in ETL pipelines or data warehouses.

- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e., Python, Java, Bash) for test automation.

- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar.

- Knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and data governance principles.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with tools like Airflow, dbt, or Talend for data workflows.

- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

- Exposure to machine learning workflows or statistical data analysis.

- Certifications in data testing or cloud technologies.
