Area Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Sales Manager to join our Solar Sales team and drive the growth of solar solutions across the Bihar and Jharkhand regions. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales efforts, managing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
   
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market penetration in Bihar and Jharkhand.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base in the solar energy sector.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies and ensure a competitive edge.
2. Team Management:
   
• Lead, train, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, ensuring high performance and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture within the team.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
   
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess customer needs, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide after-sales support to ensure seamless project execution and customer retention.
4. Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
   
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to the senior management team.
• Track sales performance and take corrective actions when necessary to meet objectives.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and market analysis to help inform business planning.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
   
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, marketing, logistics) to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of solar solutions.
• Maintain clear communication with the management team regarding sales strategies, goals, and market challenges.
6. Business Development:
   
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the solar product offerings.
• Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including government bodies, corporate clients, and residential customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in the renewable energy or solar industry.
• Strong understanding of the solar energy market, products, and technologies.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, and team management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to forecast sales performance.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within Bihar and Jharkhand.
