Officer /Senior Officer - Internal Controls

Summary:

The Officer/Senior Officer - Internal Controls will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective internal control systems within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, assessing operational risks, and contributing to the efficiency of financial processes. The Assistant Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve control frameworks and ensure organizational adherence to policies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure internal control system aligned with the organizations goals and objectives.

2. Identify key processes and areas requiring controls to mitigate risks, pinpoint weaknesses or gaps, and propose effective corrective actions.

3. Create and maintain policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance and efficiency.

4. Review and analyze the current processes to ensure that they align with established benchmarks or standards.

5. Participate in audits as a team member to assess and identify risks that could impact the organization.

6. Ensure measures are in place to protect the organizations physical, financial, and intellectual assets and aligned with the Company's Requirements

7. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of internal controls through periodic testing and assessments.

8. Collaborate with relevant Team/departments or Management to resolve control-related issues promptly.

9. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies & procedures

10. Support external audit by maintaining open item tracker, monitoring the status, answering and providing supporting documents related to queries

11. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt internal controls as necessary.

12. Communicate findings, recommendations and action plans to relevant stakeholders.

Qualification and other requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Graduate with CA /ICWAI (Inter).
• Experience : 4-5 Years of experience excluding Articleship.
• Experience in internal controls in manufacturing companies is preferred
