Procurement Specialist

Duration: 6 Months Contract

The Sourcing Specialist will focus on the major expenditure categories and will support strategic sourcing strategies to maximize corporate spend. The sole contributor position will analyze industry trends to help guide the business lines in making the best supplier selections and will report to the Sourcing Manager. The project workload associated with the position will primiarily originate from business demand managed for business leaders and project team members located in the US Eastern Time Zone.

Lead strategic sourcing efforts (i.e., RFX) that result in cost containment / savins / 3rd party risk mitigation and value to the business Recommend and implement solutions for potential supplier standardization and consolidation Analyze' purchasing trends and recommend consolidation / change, where appropriate Negotiated terms & conditions with suppliers for contracts and agreements Perform basic contract management support and assist with operationalizing contract / business terms with critical suppliers, when needed Stay informed of prevailing industry trends in assiged commodities to maximize value for Coordinate with internal business partners to ensure standards are met Handle supplier inquiries and perform basic supplier relationship management, as needed Ability to work hours that overlap with the US Eastern Time Zone Other duties as assigned and communicated.

Skills:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience managing / negotiating with suppliers Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate low-mid dollar commodities that have resulted in cost containment / savings and increased / improved business value.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as multi-tasking, time management and workload prioritization, follow-up and execution of assignments.
• Ability to analyze and create reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/negotiating with suppliers.
• Accounting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft TEAMS (which is used extensively as a collaboration tool), is preferred.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge / experience w/ ServiceNow and Oracle a plus.

Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent Role & responsibilities.
