About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential vendors in India specializing in:

• Metal Fabrication
• Plastic Fabrication
• Plastic Extrusion
• Plastic Molding

You will play a key role in ensuring our supply chain is robust, reliable, and meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Identification:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vendors in India.
• Utilize online platforms, industry directories, and trade shows to source qualified suppliers.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential and approved vendors.

Vendor Qualification:

• Evaluate vendor capabilities, including technical expertise, production capacity, and quality management systems.
• Assess vendor compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
• Conduct site visits to evaluate vendor facilities and operations.

Vendor Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues proactively.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the vendor identification process.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in vendor management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in vendor identification and qualification.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in metal and plastic fabrication.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
