IT Manager

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the hospitals

IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, Desktops

hardware, Wi-Fi and CCTV

• Ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems such as Electronic Health

Records (EHR), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System),

and other hospital management software.

2. Team Leadership:

• Supervise a team of IT professionals, including network administrators,

system analysts, help desk staff, and technicians.

• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for the IT

department team.

3. Healthcare Technology Integration:

• Playing Key role to implement Successfully Hospital Management and

Information System (HMIS)

• Manage the integration of IT systems and ERP Application like HMIS

with medical devices and clinical software to ensure smooth

communication and data exchange in secured environment.

• Collaborate with clinical staff to understand and support their IT needs,

including system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting.

4. Data Security & Compliance:

• Ensure that the hospitals IT systems are compliant with healthcare

regulations

• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive patient data and

safeguard against potential cyber threats and breaches.

• Oversee data backup, disaster recovery plans, and regular system

audits.

5. Project Management:

• Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, hardware

installations, and software implementations.

• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the

hospitals operational needs.

6. Vendor and Budget Management:

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and

contractors.

• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure the

hospital receives the best value for IT services and products.

• Oversee the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and

maintenance of hardware and software.

7. Support & Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support to resolve complex IT issues and ensure

minimal downtime.

• Respond to emergency IT situations and perform root-cause analysis to

prevent future disruptions.

8. End-User Training & Support:

• Develop and conduct training programs for hospital staff to maximize the

use of IT systems and improve user competency.

• Ensure timely IT support is available to staff across all hospital

departments.

9. Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, network

setups, and support tickets.

• Generate regular reports on system performance, IT department

metrics, and incident resolutions for senior management.

10.Innovation & Technology Advancement:

• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and healthcare IT trends to

identify new opportunities for improving hospital operations and patient

care.

• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve clinical

and administrative functions.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,

Healthcare IT, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT regulations and compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Strong understanding of database management, server and network

infrastructure, and data security.
