Job Description

Role Overview:
The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving sales, operational excellence, and business development across the designated zone in the logistics sector. The role demands an experienced professional adept at managing large teams, optimizing operations, and achieving sales targets in a highly competitive market. The ZSM will act as a key driver for market expansion, client retention, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.


Job Description

  • To monitor all business activity of the entire Zone. To Support for developing biz. Network of your zone. NBD And Retention Both.
  • To get the market surveyed of all main stations under zone by creating appropriate presence to achieve the target set by the Management from time to time with new clients as well as existing clients.
  • To visit the branch offices frequently according to exigency of business for effective improvement of the services and business development within the norms of the company, and should focus on Smalls/LTL/Express Cargo from region/zone to another zones, vice-versa and to make SOP and give training as required to all concerned staff in Region on priority basis.
  • To define and implement regional/zonal sales plan, preparation of quotation, support in negotiation and contract, reports and presentation as per requirements.
  • To identify and recommend new products opportunities, and/or product packaging base of market trend, tracking of competitors biz.trend.
  • Survey of customers need, Customer satisfaction and to initiate further appropriate implementation.
  • To maintain and expands customer base by counseling zonal sales representative, building reports with key customers, identification of new customer opportunities.
  • To achieve regional/zonal sales and operational objectives by contributing regional/zonal sales information, review of sales strategy and action plan accordingly.
  • To implement trade promotions by publishing, tracking and evaluating trade spending.
  • To hold the Weekly/Monthly Sales performance review of sales team and to propose action plan accordingly



Job Specification & Skills

  • Graduates having 15-20 Years of Logistics Experience with very large distribution Fleet / Trucks aggregation/sourcing of different types of vehicles or similar experience in handling huge fleet of Trucks, Route Planning, Pricing Customs, Fleet maintenance etc .
  • Sufficient exposure of of FTL, LTL,Express logistics management. Ability to handle Zonal Sales.
  • Creating & sustaining a dynamic environment that fosters development opportunities and motivates high performance amongst team.
  • Leading, mentoring & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in business development and meeting the business objectives.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Effective analytical skill & Leadership Ability.
  • Ready for Travel as and when desired.
