Urgent Opening For Assistant Manager - Finance

Role & responsibilities

• US Accounting Expertise : Utilize extensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage day-to-day accounting operations in alignment with US accounting standards.

• Financial Record Keeping :  Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.

• Month-End Closing : Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Financial Analysis : Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to aid in effective financial planning.

• QuickBooks Management : Utilize QuickBooks for day-to-day financial operations. Leverage QuickBooks reporting capabilities for financial analysis.

• Industry Standard Accounting System Experience : Experience with alternative accounting systems demonstrating an ability to leverage and/or transition to future accounting system implementations.

• MS Excel Proficiency : Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling. Create and maintain complex spreadsheets to support financial processes.

• Audit and Compliance : Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits efficiently. Ensure compliance with US financial regulations and reporting requirements. Familiarity with DCAA audits and accounting concepts is a major plus.

• Financial Planning and Strategy : Contribute to the development of financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial processes and systems.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with various departments to gather financial data and provide guidance on financial implications of business decisions. Collaborate effectively with team members across different time zones.

• Time zone Flexibility : Work flexible hours to accommodate the US EST time zone, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the US-based team.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in India/US accounting.

Technical Skills : Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong understanding of US GAAP and familiarity with US financial regulations.

Time Management : Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, especially in accordance with US EST working hours.

Communication Skills ; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
