We are looking for an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor and Estimator to take a lead role in accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and managing the quantity surveying aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are financially viable and meet budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying: Measure and assess quantities of materials and labor required for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Budget Management: Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project budgets, providing ongoing financial analysis and reporting.
Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to project costs and develop strategies to mitigate financial impacts.
Bid Proposals: Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring all cost elements are accurately represented and competitive in the market.
Variation Analysis: Analyze variations and changes to project scope, assessing the impact on costs and providing recommendations.
Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating contracts with subcontractors and vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quantity surveying and estimating activities, contracts, and project documentation.
