Electromechanical Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electromechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage electromechanical installations and systems for commercial fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering electromechanical projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for MEP systems in commercial fit-out/ industrial projects.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to align MEP requirements with overall project goals.
• Lead and manage MEP project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Assign responsibilities and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Review and approve MEP designs, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications.
• Address design issues and provide practical solutions as needed.
• Oversee the procurement of MEP equipment, materials, and components.
• Ensure materials meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
• Monitor on-site installation of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address any challenges.
• Track project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective measures to prevent overruns.
• Supervise system testing, commissioning, and handover to clients, ensuring all systems meet performance standards.
• Prepare project documentation and ensure all warranties and manuals are provided to the client.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing regular project updates.
• Prepare a cost centre for all the mechanical services.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Electromechanical project management, with a focus on commercial fit-out projects/ industrial projects.
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, electrical, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, equipment, and installation processes.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and AutoCAD or similar software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
