Role:
The Deal Support role is pivotal in facilitating debt syndication and structuring, managing client and lender relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of financial deals. The incumbent will:
Debt Syndication & Structuring:
- Collaborate with lenders, banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions to syndicate funds.
- Onboard new lenders to the Stride One Platform and strengthen relationships with existing lenders.
- Originate, structure, and execute syndicated loans and other debt instruments.
Client & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, banks, and financial institutions.
- Conduct due diligence and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Serve as a liaison between borrowers and lenders to ensure smooth deal execution.
Negotiation & Documentation:
- Negotiate terms with lenders and clients to secure optimal financing solutions.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and regulatory adherence.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Monitor capital markets, interest rate movements, and regulatory changes affecting debt syndication.
- Develop business strategies to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective portfolio companies, including credit assessment, financial analysis, market research, and risk evaluation.
- Prepare detailed business memos and presentations for the business committee.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor the financial performance and compliance of portfolio companies with loan covenants.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies as needed.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and offering customized solutions.
Cross-Selling Products:
- Introduce clients to additional financial products and services to increase revenue streams and wallet share.
Key Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of the lender ecosystem, especially in dealings with startups.
- Proven ability to build relationships with lenders and borrowers to close deals.
- Basic understanding of credit underwriting.
- Strong communication skills.
Profile Requirements:
- Education: CA or MBA.
- Experience: Prior experience in debt syndication
