Job Title : Senior Wireless Engineer.
Location : Chennai / Hyderabad.
Timings : Night Shift (Monday Friday).
Job Summary :
The Senior Wireless Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, integrating, and maintaining wireless technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Design, integration, testing, installation, and support of wireless network infrastructure.
- Lead wireless network engineering projects.
- Perform network design activities on HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper local or cloud managed systems) for a large enterprise data network.
- Investigates, designs, plans, and implements physical and logical wireless communications networks.
- Prepares schematics to define and illustrate wireless network design solutions.
- Prepares design documents containing instructions to be used by client and technician's.
- Provides proactive monitoring of network using network management software configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco Meraki Cloud, HPE, Aruba, Juniper).
- Provides capacity planning for internal and external network connections.
Required Skills :
- 6-10 years of experience as a senior level wireless network engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- CCIEcertified should have completed both Theory and Lab and hold valid CCIE #, or equivalent level manufacturers (Aruba, HPE, Juniper).
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols including all standards of IEEE 802.
- 11and supporting networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACL's, LDAP etc.
- Ability to perform and analyze Wifi Surveys using tools such as Ekahau.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the concepts and commands required to install, configure, and troubleshoot IT equipment in a multi-protocol district wide wireless network with centralized and cloud-based controllers.
- Must have the ability to be a liaison with local and field engineering team members and contracted vendors to maintain immediate response to critical requirements and issues impacting school instruction and testing resulting from monitoring and analysis of current data within the wireless system.
- Experience installing and maintaining identity solutions such as Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, or Microsoft NPS.
- Strong understanding of wireless security using 802.1x.
- Familiarity with wireless security best practices to ensure strong wireless network security is deployed.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
