Role Overview:
As a Production Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our manufacturing unit, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality output. You will lead our production team with a sharp focus on CNC and VMC machining processes, driving efficiency, productivity, and adherence to stringent aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning & Management:
• Develop and execute production schedules to meet delivery timelines and quality expectations.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including CNC and VMC machines, manpower, and materials.
• Machine Shop Operations:
• Oversee day-to-day operations in the machine shop, ensuring smooth functioning of CNC and VMC machines.
• Implement and monitor maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Quality Assurance:
• Maintain strict adherence to aerospace quality standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure defect-free production and compliance with customer requirements.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular training programs to enhance technical skills and efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for process improvements, implement lean manufacturing principles, and drive cost optimization.
• Keep abreast of the latest manufacturing trends and incorporate innovative technologies.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Track and report key production metrics, including efficiency, downtime, and quality.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and inventory.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 8 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong focus on CNC and VMC machining.
• Proven track record in managing machine shop operations in the aerospace or precision engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and programming.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
