HR Manager

Job Purpose:

The Hotel Operations HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions related to the Food & Beverages and Rooms Division of our 5-star hotel. The role involves sourcing and building the team right from the beginning. This position demands extensive experience in the hotel industry and a deep understanding of HR management within this specific context.

Roles and Responsibilities

Sourcing and Recruitment:

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to the needs of the Food & Beverages and Rooms Division.
• Source, screen, and interview potential candidates with an emphasis on finding the right skill sets and cultural fit.
• Conduct job fairs, campus recruitments, and partner with external recruitment agencies, as needed.

Team Building:

• Lead the initiation of the team for Food & Beverages and Rooms Division.
• Design and execute an onboarding program for new hires.
• Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, and productivity.

Talent Management:

• Identify staff training needs and work closely with the General Manager to develop programs specific to the hotel industry.
• Implement talent development programs aimed at employee retention.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Compliance and Administration:

• Oversee employee relations issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and conflict resolution.
• Manage employee documentation, records, and HR databases.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Administer and review employee compensation schemes.
• Oversee employee benefit programs, including health and wellness initiatives.

Coordination:

• Work closely with the operational managers in the Food & Beverages and Rooms Division to align HR activities with business objectives.
• Liaise with the wider HR department to ensure a cohesive approach to HR management across the hotel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of HR management experience, specifically within the hotel industry. (MUST)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
