AS400/Cobol DB2 ( Immediate Joiners)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced AS400 - COBOL DB2 Developer to join our team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have expertise in development and support, specifically in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications while handling support tickets effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using AS400, COBOL, and DB2 technologies.
• Ticket Handling: Manage and resolve support tickets related to AS400 applications, ensuring quick and effective solutions.
• Code Optimization: Optimize and maintain code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex software issues, providing technical support and guidance to the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to application development, changes, and support resolutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Up to 12 years of experience in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 development.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in AS400, COBOL programming, DB2 database management, and related technologies.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in debugging and troubleshooting complex applications.
• Ticket Management: Experience in managing support tickets and providing timely, effective solutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Education: Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RPG programming or other AS400-related tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with change management and version control systems in AS400 environments.
• Knowledge of best practices in software development and support.
